There’s a certain bit of irony in your saying:
…enjoy being able to do what I want to with my operating system.
Microsoft decided with Fall Creators Update that my digital stylus (a Staedtler Noris Digital Stylus used on a Samsung Galaxy Book 12) would function as an 11th finger input for scrolling, rather than functioning as it did when I purchased it to select text.
Filed a bug report on it:
but have had to roll back to 1703 twice now because Microsoft won’t provide an option to revert to the old behavior (aside from a Registry edit / preference to disable it for legacy applications). If you know of a way to control this behavior and get the machine to act as it did when I bought it, I’d be grateful.
