Geoff is correct in this prior thread.
It is the Collet NUT (and Shaft Thread) that is identified by the standard, M, or A varieties.
So if you are looking for Collets then they are interchangeable. If you are looking for Collet Nuts, then you’d need the matching size or the threads will not match correctly.
