New Carvey for K-8 school

I have an XCarve, and I just got a deal I couldn’t refuse on a Carvey. I bought it, and I am donating it to my children’s school, which is a fairly high-poverty, inner-city school. The teachers don’t have any experience, but they’re willing to work with me.

Given we only have a month to the end of the school year, are there any good, easy starter starter projects? I know about the tile project. Anything other easy ideas? Particularly with inexpensive and readily available materials.

Great to see you helping out the kids.

Ask the local big box store for free floor samples. They are an excellent material to carve. Here is a video of one I did with a sample. They have both wood and vinyl. The manager hopefully will give enough for all your students
