New to cnc wood working

So I am new to using easel and any form of software like this. I have imported 2 dxf files. One i want to use as a background the size of my project, second i want inside the first. i can not figure out how to remove the cuts from the first file so i can add the second on top. thank you for any advice given.

Import both DXF’s to one work piece, and align them as seen fit.
Now use the bottom screen drop-down meny to Duplicate this workpiece twice.
In copy 1 delete one DXF and in the other delete the 2nd DXF. You can now carve each of these independantly
