If you switch to Fusion the learning curve is steep, but Fusion is lot more that Easel. Easel is just fine for simple project, but lacks some useful features like measuring as stuff.
You can get a free hobbyist license from Autodesk for all their products including Fusion 360.
I use pine on my flags I’m with you on the cost of those products and so far I’ve been happy with what I can do with what I’ve got. I’m not a computer or CNC pro by no means and some of the things I’ve read that people are doing with the v-carve I’d say I’ve got a lot to learn . I’ve just retired from trucking so guess I’ve got nothing but time to figure it out???
