NEWBIE - How to use different bits on one design

Morning everyone,

Hopefully this is the place to post this.

I am new to the CNC carving world. I have a cheap machine at the minute but my X-Crave 1000mm should be hear soon.I have done a few craves which have come out successful.

We have a design that we want to carve - writing & logo. I know how to do a rough pass & detailed pass but was wondering if there was a way to carve the logo using a detailed bit then carve the writing using a V bit.

Does this have to be done using 2 designs or is there a way of doing it on on?

All/any help welcome.

Duplicate the design into individual Work pieces (Easel bottom meny), this way you can break a larger design into as many sub-parts your work flow dictate.
