Optimum acceleration?

After all the discussion in the other thread about feed rate and acceleration, I’m wondering what the best acceleration is? The default is ~500 and I read another thread that 530 is good. Should the acceleration be closer to 1200?

Continuing the discussion from Maximum Inches per minute?:

It really depends on what your project is. Short incremental raster gcode files requires higher accels and a different $11= (junction deviation, mm) setting to maintain programmed feedrates like when spindle engraving Lithophanes or Laser engraving photos.

I find that anything over 500mm/s^2 is just too jerky and introduces some “backlash” with the weight of the dwp611

I’ve set x and y to 510 and z to 400. I have not cut anything yet, but I will in the next few days. I will report back.
