Is there any way to prevent lines from cutting across the carve and making gashes in designs, especially in materials that show every detail and mistake like acrylics? I would be fine if it added another couple minutes to carving as long as it was display worthy.
The red lines are seek operations (non cutting).
Well, at least they should be.
What makes you think they will actually touch your work surface?
Are you using Easel to generate that tool path?
What is your Safety Height set too?
I am talking about the blue line that cuts across the carve. I have seen some programs use an adaptive spiral to prevent those.
OK, you probably need to make you’re request more clear, and to suggest you would like control over climb or conventional cutting as well.
