metal one was cheaper?
The switch is not exactly light and I wanted something heavy duty. I also wanted something that would ground the machine since it’s only a 2 prong plug Coming from the motor. And yes the metal handy boxes are dirt cheap.

I don’t love the blue sponge paint but I don’t hate it either. I still have to do the white on top of the letters and the white rim.

I will assume your using your spray shellac, that’s in the picture, so you can do your wipe off method. are you spraying a coat after each color is done so you cont have to worry about mess ups?
No… should have, but didn’t.
I use the shellac to seal acrylic paint. Also helps the wipe off method. But I had to touch up the grey after the blue. Should have sprayed in between colors.
Ok I was not sure if that was an option or if the build up of shellac would just be horrendous. Good to know thanks.
You only need to reapply over the fresh paint. Shellac blends nice. It melts into itself.
