I’m looking to do a few board planing projects to flatten them using the xcarve. In the past, I’ve used an oversized square with y raster carving with a 1/2 or 1 inch flat bits. While this works moderately well, the ‘south’ (back to front) planing cuts are much smoother than ‘north’ planing cuts. If you watch most other CNC planing runs, they typically run in one direction with the rotation of the spindle, lift, go back to the other side, lower and cut again. Is there a way to replicate this in easel, or is this option available in other control software?
