Hello, I purchased the x carve about 2 weeks ago. On almost all of my jobs I am getting uneven cuts where in some places the machine appears to create a deeper path and never finishes all of the passes so that the entire cut is the same depth. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Pictures attached.
Have you calibrated and trammed in your machine?
Is the wood warped and a consistent thickness?

the wood is consistent and not warped
Also realize that wood is a “living” material. when you hog something away the wood will expand a little /twist a little. This can alone cause lines on the pocket floor. Even minute changes will have large visual clues.
Another variable is the bit, it excert forces onto the wood, both pushing down and pulling up + sideway forces.
Thirdly, any slack in the Z-assembly can also cause such variations.

I was thinking along the same lines.
What’s the condition of your Delrin nut?
Could it have a little slop in it?
