Well crap!!! Now I feel real stupid!! 
Now I need to figure out why the router will not come on. I just thought of this. I think it might need some new brushes. I had to install new ones a long time ago.
I sent an email off to support about the probe problem. I opened up the controller and except for some dust everything looked fine.

Laser works really good when I remember to plug-in a power supply!! 
Also, the brushes were the reason the router would not run. Had some brushes so that problem will be fixed in the morning.
So, the only problem left was the original one of the probe not working.
