I have not used my X-Carve since I finished a project last fall. I went to start a new project tonight and I seem to have little movement on the X axis. No problem with the Y or Z axis. The X axis moves about a 1/4" in both directions and is kind of jerky. When I turn off the machine, it moves freely as it did before. The wiring looks good. I am very puzzled. Any help would be nice.
Really sounds like wiring. If all connections are good you may have a broken wire. Try moving/repositioning the wires while the account is supposed to be moving.
Try plugging in the X axis wires to Y1 on the x controller to see if the jitters stay on the X or move over to Y1. If the move it’s probaby a bad wire.
