Procedural shaders in Maya cut on the X-carve

Recently authored a shading network in Maya which I converted to displaced polys, and ultimately cut on the X-Carve:

This was on some 12x12x1/3" birch plywood, with some ‘natural’ stain applied.

Comments and critiques welcome. Did this just to teach myself that process of going from procedural digital to physical wood. It’s pretty f’ing awesome that it can be done at all, IMO :grinning:

will definitely check out your blog. Cutting 3d textures is a great tool to have in the kit.
