QR Code Carve

Hey community, I’m hoping someone has already done this. I have to carve a QR code into a wood-based project. I was wondering if anyone has already done this and can share some tips / tricks to get it to work. By working I mean that the QR code reader (e.g. iphone), can read it.

I have the QR code saved as a svg and loaded into Easel, but I’m unsure what’s the best way to cut (pocket, outside, inside, etc), do i need different cut depths, etc.

Thanks in advance.

I would do a pocket cut with a depth of just a few mm, then paint and sand so the QR code stands out. Try and use a 1/16 bit if the size of the code allows.
