Re-creating a historic architectural piece of woodwork

Considering using my XCarve to re-create a piece of architectural molding.

The piece will be 1D"x23L"x11W.

  1. Anyone else doing this type of work?
  2. What software / process would I use to create a model?
  3. Should it be drawn in auto cad first then imported into Easel?

I would use Fusion360 to remodel it by sketching using a photo and measurements…
