I am doing a very basic relief carving of a cross and the thought was to put some text into the dished area afer the cross has been carved, but it occurs to me that doing the text as a seperate project will likely result in the bit striking the cross as it moves to the text locations.
Should the text be done using a second bit with the text printed on the original project? or is there a way to do it as a second project without causing issues?
To avoid the material you can to Machine>General Settings and in there you can increase the “Safety Height” to allow it to raise up higher between letters to prevent this crash scenario.
Thanks Seth
one more question on the same topic, if I want to cut a sign using only a V bit for text is there a way to do only the detailed cut without doing the rough?
Never mind, I found it.
