Selecting No-carve areas

I am trying to carve some detail inside a circle area, however I would like to leave a border that is not carved.

Currently I have a circle with the depth set to zero, but this will only carve outside the circle (I need it carved inside the circle)

Does anyone have an idea on how this can be done?
A link to the project is below

You can use the combine function to make a masking. If you set the 0 depth circle on top of a rectangle (any depth) then comine the rectangle will have a hole in it, then set the rectangle to 0 depth and i think you’ll have exactly what you need here…

@SethCNC I can’t thank you enough!!! Greatly appreciate the help!
