I am trying to carve an irregular shape and just not sure how to set the home zero position.
If can find the center, that would be best for an odd shape.

This is the process Ken’s referring to (in my video below)… the photo above is NOT the method for using center as work zeros. (btw there is only one home, the thing you’re wanting to change is the “work zeros”)
Side note, your Z axis probably needs to be lowered a bit more…
And I suggest adding a front/left clamp as well, If the wood was to try to move and twist with a counterclockwise movement, it’ll come free of those clamps and go flying across the room…
