Should toolpath start with outside

I just received my easel software and am drawing for the first time. I drew My item and ran the simulate to see the toolpath. It shows the router cutting the outside lines before the inside. if it actually cuts in this order the pieces will move and the inner portion will not be correct. Am i missing something?

Hello Bart and welcome to the forum,
In Easel everything that I have cut has always cut the inside lines first and the outside last. Run the project it will work. You also may be looking at the tool path in reverse.

You can also use tabs for the outline cut(s), or even place the outline on a different workpiece and simply carve it last.
