Hey everyone,
I have a Carvey in my middle school makerspace. I suspect the switch on the smart clamp is not working properly. When I push on it, it will click like a nice and normal clicky pushbutton, but it does not trigger on the machine monitor until I apply a good amount of pressure past the click. Is this the expected behavior, or should it trigger once it clicks?

I’d contact Inventables and get a replacement if they have any left…Carvey has been discontinued.
In the meantime, I’d recommend removing the PCB and checking to see if you notice any debris or anything obvious. If you have electronics experience, it’s pretty easy to replace the switch.
