I am assembling my X carve and have mounted my spindle to my rails, put the stepper motors on, and attached the small circular belt. My question is, how hard should it be to manually lift and raise the spindle? Mine is pretty tight…Thanks in advance for any info
I had the same question but once its assembled you won’t be able to move it up and down by hand. The stepper motor and pully needs to drive the movement.
I added a little silicone lube to the delrin nut, as it was binding toward the top of the z axis at first.
