I’m wondering if anyone has tried this already? I have the 1000mm XC and am starting to consider how I want to hot rod it. 2 things that have come to mind are stiffening the gantry plates so that there is less inherent flexibility between the plates and the X-Axis, and mounting the Y-Axis maker slides to full-length beams of some sort.
That long gantry has a lot of leverage on it and I can twist it pretty easily. Just thinking…
