Suddenly carving too deep

I’m trying to do a very simple carve I drew in easel, but it’s consistently carving too deep by about 1.5 mm. All my measurements are correct. I’m using the z-probe to set my work surface.

  • If you command a jog of 20mm do Z also actually move 20mm?
  • If you design a 10mm deep pocket inside a 5mm pocket ,total depth15mm, is the step distance between the two pockets correct?

If yes, see below. If no, check all mechanical aspects of Z and also calibrate step/mm to verify.

  • Do you have the correct Z-probe thickness set?
