to all “x-carve answer man” kindly help me with this matter.
what’s wrong with my settings that it turned out this way.
kindly help me how to position my spindle and set my x and y settings under the Shape box.
1- do i set the Shape settings first and then the Cut settings?
2- can i only carve 1 line of text at time?
3- what are the dotted lines for?

I noticed in your picture the top line of text goes from 6 inches to 7 inches but in the upper right corner of the screen below cut settings you only have the size of your piece of material defined as 12 inches by 6 inches (the dotted lines). I hope this helps. I’ve made hundreds of projects with my X-Carve but I won’t tell you how many mistakes I’ve made. Hope this helps.
i dont get what you mean.
The dotted lines in the left frame are showing what you told easel the dimensions of the material you are milling. Those settings can be changed in the upper right corner of the right frame. You can see in the 3D image in the right frame the top line of your text is outside the defined material dimension and will not be cut. Hope this helps.
