Ok so I’m messing around with the software before purchasing. When I add text it shows up on a grainy preview but when I hit “detailed preview” it disappears. I also tried to simulate the carve and it did not carve the text.
I tried a few different texts.
But and depth is same as other cuts on the same project.
What am I doing wrong?
Your bit is too big to carve the text. Change to a v bit or add a vbit for a two stage detailed carve and you will see it.
(In short, the text lines are ~1/32 wide and your bit is 1/16 or 1/8 and therefore too thick to carve the text.)
