I had two 5" wide 40" long Oak, I used one, and I need 7"wide 20" long piece. Easy, Cut 20" and split half, make dado joint together. You can have 7.5" wide 20" long piece. Cupcake. I split the 5" wide wood, make dado and joint together again. Now this time Still I have 5" wide 20: long piece. I was proud of myself joint doesn’t even visible. Damn, I just realized the mistake after I clamp the piece to work surface. Yep, when you’re tired, you must know it’s time to take a rest. I’m still cursing to my self.
