Tool Path Efficiency

I’ve been noticing that the tool paths created by Easel will often take a very circuitous route to cutting (e.g. raising and going back to the start of a line rather than retracing it, or cutting one layer at a time of many shapes rather than finishing one shape at a time). It seems like many minutes could be saved in time spent jogging over the material by building in some efficiencies that make the order of cuts more logical. Is this on the radar of the Easel dev team?

How do we make this closed singular loop? Is this the same process as combining the design?
