Trouble with stepper motors

I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Recently my Z decided to take a nose dive into the wasteboard when I went to home it. Problem is after that I have not been able to control the stepper motors. My GRBL output settings are the following and no matter how hard I try I cannot change the $100 - $132 settings. I send the new command and it just does not accept it. I am thinking the XYZ controller in my xController is failed or faulty. What can I do to verify or correct this issue!

I’d re-flash grbl at this point.
How are you sending the commands to change your settings?

At a minimum I would try to reset the grbl settings to default

$RST=$

Yup did that, it does nothing

Then you do need to try and reload grbl into your controller.

After reloading the Firmware I have gone through the setup multiple times through easel. The settings still don’t change, Its almost like they are locked or something. I have searched every site I have access to find any answers. But I know this is where the problem is. I am thinking it is a bad controller card or eeprom is shot but dont know how it went from working to not in a matter of seconds.

how do you know that you reloaded the firmware?

did you load the same firmware that it had?

Firmware was reloaded via Easel in the machine button, the window that comes up allows you to reload the firmware. Not 100% on the effectiveness of this process but I have done it a few times. And it loads the 1.1f firmware.

It’s time to call Customer support.

You can try an earlier version but I would still agree with @LarryM to call support.

If it was me I would load an older version of the firmware.

start the machine and make sure that the older version is what is booted. (version displays as first line)

turn off the controller then reboot and reload the newest version. start machine inspector and see that newest version is now loaded.

run easel setup.

then call customer support if that fails at any point.

So spoke with inventables today and they feel like it could be the controller card for the XY & Z controllers. They are sending it out today next day air which should have me back up and running by wed night! I love there customer service! That is no understatement!
