Two Stage - Collet swap possible?

I’ve got a project that needs a lot of negative space hogged out, then a detail logo carved into another area. My fasted carve time is going from a 1/4" bit to a 1/16".

With my Dewalt 611 setup, this requires a switch of the collet. Has anyone done a collet swap during a two-stage carve, and does the X/Y still seem to line up perfectly? Or has anyone had zeroing issues when exchanging collets?

Collets place the center of the bit in the center of the spindle. The X/Y position is set at the center point.

Therefore, it all should line up.

I’ve done collet changes and not lost x/y zero.
