Also, if this idea hasn’t already crossed someones mind about keeping Z-zero, if we have a limit switch installed, is it possible that once we set Z-zero for the first rough pass, that Easel could run the axis up to the limit switch keeping a stepper count, then back down to the material for a double check for us to verify then to proceed with the rough cut. When ready to start detail pass, it runs up to the limit switch again, then counts back down?
Just a thought.

Great thought, but I answered my own question… Bit length and never getting the bit tip back to the same place will throw that idea out the window.
