I’m new to cnc work I’m having an issue with… well something. I’m cutting stars for a flag union but once I start carving, after the first cut the bit cuts slightly deeper than the first cut and by the end of the project has raised up so much the bit wasn’t even cutting on the board. Any suggestions or has anyone else experienced this?
Sounds like you either have something loose on your Z axis, or you steps per mm are not properly calibrated.
Your cutter might be loose and sliding into the work. Some of the China cutters are not to size and the collet cannot hold them tight enough and they slip.
