It would be a very interesting exercise in registration. You’d probably also need a jig to hold the cube and a way of clamping that could handle that the sides change half way through. I guess worse case scenario, it’s six files and the zero is always just the bottom left corner of the top surface, probably up against a fence to keep it parallel.
