$112 = max feed rate for Z, 1000mm / minute
$122 = acceleration rate for Z, 100mm/sec squared
These settings do not alter travel or anything, just the overall speed and “zippyness”.
Say previous values where 500/50, and now you use 1000/100 => twice as fast and accelerating/braking twice as hard.
If you have a design with a lot of Z-motion carve time will be shortened.
Do I need to lubricate the new z axis upgrade to reduce the noise.?
It is not referred anywhere in the instructions nor some grease is included like in the original x carve
Thanks
Munawar, log into Easel, open a project, and click on Machine. Once open, go to General Settings and finally Machine Inspector. There will be a console line where you then type in the $112, $122 setting.
The key is that you must have a machine set up in Easel to do this. For example, if you have two computers and only one is actually set up in Easel with the Carve, that is the one you must use to change the $ settings.
