Using Easel in my classroom

Hi I’m teaching a CAM class this semester and came across Easel. All of the students have Chromebooks which are great for running Easel. The school has a CNC Shark that seems to prefer VCarve Pro. I was wondering if there is a way to convert .nc files from Easel to .tap or .dnc so that our controller can run the g-code. I appreciate any help that you can offer.

Most Gcode files are text files, regardless of the extension. When you open a file, most dialog boxes allow you to specify the type of file with the drop down list. Just select ‘all files’.
If you can’t do that, you can rename the file from .nc to .tap. also when you save the file in Easel, you can edit the name to .tap or .dnc.
I always save mine as .txt, most CAM programs allow this.

We now have a series of Easel classes. We add new ones every few weeks.
