Wandering cutter

Cut a number of practice circles in MDF everything was fine. Tried exact same!
setup in Acrylic, again everything fine
until the last pass when it decided to go it’s own way. Any suggestions appreciated.

Looks like you have lost steps somewhere. Could be anything maybe belts not tight or perhaps it hit something?

Bit and RPM information?
Feed rates?

Bit might be gummed up and loose cutting capability, causing lost steps.

Thanks for responding. I think the primary cause was operator error, why I would assume what worked on
soft MDF would work on hard Acrylic is beyond me. So, slower feed rate, smaller depth per cut and a new bit. We’ll see what happens. Thanks again.

Actually, for acrylic I’d go fast and start shallow with a 1F bit. RPM at minimum.
