Set up my xcp and went to do the waste board surface and I have a 2” strip on both the y1 and y2 axis that it did not surface. What did I miss?

I dont have an XCP, but my large 4x4 cnc also does not reach the very edges of the wasteboard, personally i surfaced it, leaving the edges and then I added a second mdf wasreboard atop the stock one, just barely smaller than the pocket created by the surfacing job on the stock one. That allowed me to surface the entire 2nd wasteboard.
Or You could leave the line there and use it as a reference for aligning the workpiece parallel to the y axis.
Thanks Seth. I will use a stop block to keep everything lined up on that y axis.
