Wasted Material

I have owned my machine for almost 2 years and have made some incredible projects. However, I am very disappointed with the amount of wasted material I have thrown out due to carve a design or font that the result is you need to increase your design or use a smaller cutter after the fact.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I’m curious, does the preview side of easel, show it cutting everything correctly? Especially, on the lettering?

Not sure if there was a mention of cost… I only read waste. Cheap material is still wasted material. I will defer to MikePotter’s response as possibly a logical approach to answering OP’s legitimate question.

It’s not wasted if if can be used for other projects such as cutting boards, or in the fire pit on a cool fall night
