Hello I have the upgraded x-carve machine, love it so far. One issue I do have is that the wires are way too short. What is the recommended method for lengthening them. I would like to add about 5’ can this be done? I have limit switched and z-probe add-ons

You can extend the stepper motor cables with 18/4 security wire (shielded recommended) and the homing switches and probe with 22/2 security wire (shielded recommended). These are available at Home Depot if you are in the states.
An additional 5 feet should not be a problem.
You may have to pay attention to the way you route your router AC cord if you have that and experience electrical noise issues.
