what kind of Wood is best för laser Projects
för example burning picture.

My first choice is Baltic Birch plywood, followed by clear Poplar wood (without the green colored grain).

Has anyone tried Maple?

I used some maple for small kids wooden blocks and engraved all 6 sides and it turned out looking good.
