Setting up my “Free to me” x carve using a raspberry pi running CNCjs. I can get the Y and Z axis to move, however the X axis kinda jumps when I try to move it either direction. I’ve checked the wiring and it appears to be correct. When powered down all axis move freely. Could it be something on the controller board? Would really like some suggestions as to possible areas to check.

But is it? Can you share some details?
Power down, swap the X and Z motor wiring at the controller and see if the X moves.
What are your Grbl settings?

You nailed it. One of the wires had come loose. Now onto testing some g- code. Thanks!
