Hi All, I just finished the `1000X1000 machine. I’m wondering about the X axis stiffening mod. From the posts I was able to find regarding this mod, it looks like the older machine had a different makerslide with an actual groove in the top to allow the bolt to slide through without drilling? Mine is solid on the top. What is the best way to stiffen this without drilling? . I
The reason they made it solid is to make it stiffer than the two piece. I haven’t seen anyone needing to modify the solid one.

I have the upgraded extrusion and have had the modded x axis. the new setup is much stiffer more so than the one with the stiffing mod.
