X carve machine tool holder questions

Hello,

I have some questions about the x carve machine tool holder. I am not familiar with it so excuse me stupid questions

  1. what is the diameter and height of the tool holder which is originally delivered with the x carve machine?
  2. is it possible to remove the original tool holder and use another tool holder in a different size (with a smaller outer diameter for example)?

‘Tool’ holder? Are you referring to the router/spindle mount?

For specific dimensions, I’d suggest you call the Inventables tech support folks.

Yes, you can remove it from the Zaxis gantry and use another, but the mounting holes would need to match up with the Z carriage.
