X Carve upgrade nearly no holding torque

Hi
I just upgraded my X Carve with the upgrade kit for motors and Z hight. After installing the kit, the new steppers barely hold position in the Y axis. X axis is a little bit better. They are not moving freely, there is a stutter, but in my opinion way more than the older steppers. $1=255 is activated.

Any ideas?

Hi Maik,
Are the dip switches also set for full power output?

Check that you have the motor wiring order correct and well connected.

To be honest, I don’t know what that means… :slight_smile:
I didn’t change anything other than the new hardware parts
