What controller do you use with the Garageworx CNC?
I use the stepper motors and control box by Xylotex that Dave Gatton recommends be used with both the GarageworX and Gatton CNC that he designed.
With the dust collection going I never have issues with dust on the lead screws.
had to steal the kids laptop to get machine going lol
gotta do what you gotta do!!
kudos!!
When your 4 year old granddaughter asks āgrandpa, would you like to have a sticker for your computerā
You just say āyes sweetie, I would love to have one, and you can put it on if you likeā
And then you are very proud of it and say thank you to anyone who mentions it.
Thank you.
As for the beer, you can clearly see I only drink top shelf.
Yup,I like to enjoy a cigar while I watch my new toy at work.
Just, please donāt tell my wife about her tooth brush.
I feel like I was playing a āWhereās Waldoāā¦ I saw the beer, found the stogie, where the hell is the toothbrush?? (I found it)
Haha thatās awesome yeah took me a minute to to find the tooth brush
Yes, it is the Vectric bottle cap.
I have a friend that owns a micro brewery.
Earlier this year I made tap handles for him to pass out to the bars.
Everyone loved them and one thing led to another when he asked if I would be interested in making signs for him.
The agreement is I invest in the equipment and he buys the signs from me.
I have been a woodworker for over 40 years but never had anything to do with CNC before.
I didnāt know anything about the process, programming, or how to turn one on.
And what the hell is a post processor anyway?
Now Iām editing my post processor to automatically turn on the router and dust collector before the carve and then automatically them off at the end of the program. (SO COOL)
So its been a very steep learning curve for me, but Iām loving it.
Bottle cap?? Whereās the bottl-- Ooohhhh.
tornado come through? in the middle of the upgrades?
Wanted to thank you for the pic! ā¦perfect angle to show me how the sideboard mounts.
Yes.
The side boards are 3/16 hard board from home depot.
Held on the side rail with the post assembly T nuts and screws.
It really helps to contain the mess.
One of the best ideas Iāve used off the forums.
Worked on my enclosure tonight about 80% done trying to cut down on noise and dust with this design.
I spy an under seat RAM enclosure template
