Hey guy’s any chance a seperate thread can be made for your question about the probe? I don’t want to sound rude, but I keep checking this thread for updates on the shipment info people are at, and I keep seeing this.
Add to the bug list for the setup procedure:
- home the machine (the spindle is at max Z)
- say you have a z-probe
- test the z-probe
The result is the probe probably fails because the max probe distance was exceeded, but now the machine is apparently left in an alarm state which Easel can’t recover from, so the only fix is to completely exit and restart Easel. Guess how I know this…

I got through the setup with the suspect behavior that the indicator is green when the probe is NOT touching and red when it is which I assume is backwards. Then when I tried to actually use the probe for a test carve I could not get through the steps on the screen.
I’ll also post the screen captures I made of the setup screens for those who are curious.
