I am trying to decide if I want to spend the $500 on the upgrade kit ( belt, motor, z-axis). Not many people are talking about it online. I have searched for reviews and come up with nothing. I can only find the one video that was released by inventables. If you have the upgrade please let me know!
In the X-Carve facebook groups there have been many positive posts about it… halved times is a little optimistic, but most are reporting about 75% carve times…
That said, there was a pinned thread this morning about the upcoming announcement regarding making that a standard upgrade for all new X-Carves … So they must be good enough of an improvement for inventables to want to include then on every new X-carve
