Hey guys, I’m wondering if you might be able to help me with a problem. I’ll try to bullet point it here:
- I recently had to reinstall Vcarve 12 to my computer as I just got a new one. I got everything reinstalled installed the Vcarve post processor.
- Then I saved 2 Gcodes. 1 is a profile cut out with a 3-D roughing. and the 2nd is a ball end 3-D finishing gcode.
- I loaded them into UGS. Homed the machine no problem. (Manually, I dont use a probe) Then The 1st gcode worked fine. Cutting the profile and 3d roughing.
- I reset the Z height when I switched the bit to the ball end no problem.
- I launched the 3-D finishing code. The machine started fine but about 3/4 of the way through the cut the head stopped and there was a probe error on the screen.
- Is there something in the post processing that I missed since I’m not running a Z probe? The end mill that I used for the 1st cut was a bit longer than the ball end mill that I’m using but the Z height still had plenty of room left before it would be at it’s limit.
