I noticed something odd in the middle of a 60 minute carve, so I stopped it.
Realized Y1 stepper was not responding.
Determined motor and wire are both good. What would be wrong inside the CPU that can be fixed, replaced, or reset
???
I hate to ask, but by chance do you move the gantry around by hand? Pushing it to the rear or pulling it forward between uses?
Doing this will cause the steppers to generate voltage and that is pushed back to the driver chips and they will blow up if the movement isn’t performed very slowly, and this is the typical cause for these drivers to fail.
