I have used the xcarve religiously (everyday) for my business since August…Today I went out to start cutting and the Z is being crazy…When I go and zero the machine when I press the down arrow it goes down once then press it again it goes up… This is crazy…any suggestions…
Sounds like a wire came loose…I would check the motor wires and make sure there isn’t a short anywhere.
Check to see if your gshield is seated well in the arduino. A loose connection between them can cause weird stepper motor movements.
100% correct the white wire on Z was loose…thanks foreverything
